Herika R. Raymer - A Brief History Of A Bookwright (Writer / Editor)

Born in 1974, Herika R. Raymer grew up consuming books, literally. Her father's collection of science fiction, reference volumes, and notebooks were victim to her appetite. First by eating them, later by reading them. Her parents taught her the value of focus and dedication while installing an appreciation of literature and art. She wrote and doodled off and on for over 30 years. In 1994 when she published an unfinished bonus comic story in the Dragonrok chapter of Hanther's Tandra saga. Her written stories began showing in anthologies years later, starting with 2009's Dragon's Composed from Kerlak Publishing. Several anthologies feature her short stories (see Backlist). Encouraged by this, Mrs. Raymer compiled some earlier works into a collection, Make Mine With A Side Of Creepy, published in November 2016 by Dark Oak Press. She continues to send submissions and in October 2021 started episodic stories on the new platform Kindle Vella.

Mrs. Raymer is also a freelance Editor. The journey began in as an Assistant and Lead Editor for a science fiction/fantasy and horror magazine respectively (October 2011 - April 2012). She is the Founder and Lead Editor of the discontinued ezine Imagyro Magazine (August 2010 - 2013), where she included Book and Movie Reviews.

Herika R. Raymer married in 1997, has two beautiful children, and lives in West Tennessee, USA.
